We love staying at hotels; they are such different atmospheres to our homes. However, we can’t always be somewhere else - so use these tips to make your home feel luxurious!
1. Make a grand entrance
A hotel lobby is one of the most exciting places ever - it’s inviting, grand, and chic - so why not inject this into your own space? Try this entryway designed by David Michael Miller Associates, who have opted for an entry table with sculptural decor, foliage, and a runner rug to add a bit of warmth and direction to the space.
If you like to store shoes near your front door, look for close shoe storage options rather than open shoe racks.
2. Display art
Placing art is one of the quickest and easiest ways to make your space a luxurious one. If you don’t wan’t to hang any frames onto your walls, try propping them up against the wall on a console table (as above - from our Can Chic project), or even have small sculptural items or frames on your shelves alongside books.
Big tip: Art is not only framed pieces - you can have sculptural art, tapestries, and so much more!
3. Mix and match
Make your space exciting by injecting complimentary pops of colour, patterns, textures, etc. Remember, you don’t always have to make drastic changes to your space - maybe start off with changing a few cushion covers! These covers from H&M Home compliment each other well with their different textures and similar tones.
Tip: Have a few plain coloured options alongside pops of colour/patterns as to not overtake the area.

4. Scents
Having a noticeable and memorable scent in your space can really set the tone. Placing scented candles alongside high traffic areas such as entranceways and corridors will elevate the space. You can also have incense or sprays if you wish!
5. Fresh flowers
Lastly, having fresh flowers and plants can really make a space pop. Place a bouquet of flowers in the middle of your dining table, or even in a small vase on your bathroom vanity.
Remember, it’s the little things that can have a big difference on the way your space makes you feel. Next time you stay at a hotel, note the things you loved and find a way to implement them into your home!
