Notting Hill
A HOME FOR A FASHION INFLUENCER
Photographer: Vigo Jansons
For a client whose life unfolds between runways, fittings and front rows, home had to be the one place that asked nothing of her. Set on the first floor of a period building in Notting Hill, this apartment was conceived as both sanctuary and backdrop: calm enough to come home to after Fashion Week, beautiful enough to be photographed from every angle.
The architecture sets the tone. New plaster ceiling roses and acanthus cornicing by Stevensons of Norwich restore the building's Victorian grace, while a white marble Northumberland fireplace from English Fireplaces anchors the living room. Every wall is washed in Bauwerk's Stone limewash, a soft, chalky envelope that flatters skin, fabric and natural light alike. Like a perfectly cut ivory coat, it is a neutral base that lets everything else shine.
In the living room, a bouclé B&B Italia Camaleonda sofa sinks into a 16TE rug, framed by floor-length Warwick linen curtains and Murano glass sconces by Sogni di Cristallo. In the kitchen, Crema Beige joinery by Leith Furniture meets marble-look surfaces beneath a smoky-grey Clepsydra chandelier by Sogni di Cristallo. It is less a kitchen than a quiet stage for morning coffee and content alike.
The heart of the home is, naturally, the wardrobe. The walk-in closet was designed like a private boutique: mirrored doors in low-iron glass, a glass-topped island for jewellery and accessories, and a Fiordaliso chandelier overhead. Antique brass handles by Joseph Giles run through every drawer, and ironmongery by Corston runs through every door. From here, the master bathroom continues the ritual, with brushed brass Axor Citterio fittings beneath an Eichholtz crystal chandelier.
Even the smallest room carries a signature. The guest WC is a jewel box in rose quartz: an onyx sink, Harlequin Makrana wallpaper and THG Paris fittings, as considered as a finishing accessory. Outside, a terrace laid in white Moroccan zellige from Otto Tiles offers a sunlit corner above the city.
The result is a home with the discipline of a capsule wardrobe and the glamour of a couture atelier: soft, tailored and entirely her own.
